MedPro Rx provides innovative new treatments for Hereditary Angioedema (HAE), including prophylactic infusions of C-1 esterase inhibitor concentrate and multiple intravenous solutions for acute HAE attacks.
C-1 esterase inhibitor concentrate is a highly purified, pasteurized and nanofiltered plasma-derived intravenous solution; regular infusions can compensate for C-1 inhibitor deficiency in patients with HAE and prevent future episodes of swelling. Deficiency of the C-1 inhibitor functions by activating plasma kallikrein and producing the peptide bradykinin, which cause edema and pain; in addition to concentrated C-1 inhibitor, we provide drugs that act as a plasma kallkrein inhibitor and bradykinin receptor antagonist, including those approved for use in adolescents.
