November 15, 2008 — MedPro Rx, Inc., has announced that the pharmacy’s team was the number one fundraiser for the N.C. Hemophilia Walk. The event raised a total of $62,242 for bleeding disorder research, with the MedPro Rx team raising more than $6,200. The pharmacy’s team had more than 80 walkers, making it the largest walker team to participate in the event.
The Hemophilia Walk is the National Hemophilia Foundation’s largest event dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for bleeding and clotting disorders, and to prevent the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research. Participants raise money, locally and nationally, for crucial research, advocacy and education by joining together in a fun and festive event. North Carolina was one of five states to host a hemophilia walk in 2008.
