National Preparedness Month starts today

National Preparedness Month is a part of the Ready nation public service advertising campaign. The program was launched in 2003 to getting people thinking about how to be ready for and respond to emergency situations. The Web site www.ready.gov is a great resource for how to make an emergency plan for any situation. According to the site there are three main steps:

1. Get a Kit
2. Make a Plan
3. Be Informed
